 Diary of a Dufus!
09/03/2008

I have come to the conclusion that I am a “Dufus”! No, it’s true. I know it must be hard for you to believe.

 Just a few words

I got a surprise call the other day from the office. The office was the New York Office (NYO) of the FBI in Manhattan where I had worked as an agent for 28 years.

 Mission accomplished!

Whew! It's over! It was a long difficult campaign made only more difficult because of the secrecy necessary.

 Happy birthday, Brian!

Kay and I made an unexpected trip to Canada this past week! The occasion was to celebrate my brother Brian's birthday. It was his 70th! Yikes! I'm not that far behind him - about 18 months.

The other night I went into the bedroom to hit the sack. Kay was already in bed and had the TV on. She was watching "Bridezillas" of all things.

Kay and I watched the HBO presentation on John Adams and were fascinated by it. It was by far the best thing I've seen on TV in a long, long time! It was seven hours long spread over several weeks, and it was worth every minute.

 Back away from the kitchen!
04/16/2008

One night recently Kay went into the kitchen to start supper. I made myself useful by sitting on the couch reading the newspaper. It wasn't long before I heard: 'Oh no!'

 A funny thing happened

The other day I had to go to a meeting at 11 a.m. I got ready and headed for the door. There was a meeting of women from the church going on in our living room.

It was a period of social, artistic and cultural dynamism. Normality returned to politics in the wake of the war.

Well it’s over already, the holiday season has come and gone. The Big Three: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve, so long awaited have sped by.
