 Council passes four COAH resolutions

With the Dec. 31 deadline looming, Hillsdale is finalizing its plan to submit to the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) as part of its petition for substantive certification.

80 years of service

For 80 years, the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary has literally answered "the call" when an emergency arises. They respond to the same emergencies as the fire department and are on-call 24 hours a day.

 Budget overages total $98,000

In a 5-1 vote, with Councilman Jonathon DeJoseph dissenting, the Hillsdale Council passed a resolution at the Tuesday, Dec. 2 meeting regarding emergency funding necessary to cover overages on budget costs for 2008.

 Carcass removal provision pulled

After notification was received from the state regarding the discontinuation of deer carcass removal, the responsibility of disposing any deceased deer in the borough will fall on the town.
