| | Boro resident arrested in MSU arson investigation 12/16/2008
According to a Dec. 10 statement issued by Montclair State University (MSU) Chief of Police Paul Cell, Park Ridge resident Steven Romano, 19, was arrested and charged with setting a string of recent fires on the campus.

| | Firefighter looks back on 50 years of service 12/02/2008
In March 1958, following a suggestion made by his wife Louise, Walter Geppner joined the Park Ridge Fire Department at the age of 28. Walter, a native of Belleville, moved to Park Ridge after marrying Louise in 1951.

| | Borough awarded DOT grant 12/02/2008
The Borough of Park Ridge was recently awarded a $200,000 grant from the DOT. Gene Vinci, the borough administrator, said the grant was awarded for improvements to Fifth Street that include road resurfacing and the construction of curbs and drainage.
