The nearly completed skateboard park at
Stone
Point
Park is set be unveiled on Saturday, Sept. 13 on Old Tappan Day. Officials hope that the park will be completed and ready for use by the end of September. River Vale and Old Tappan, along with a grant from Bergen County Open Space, Recreation, Farmland and Historic Preservation trust, contributed funds towards construction of the park.
Skateboarders must sign up for identification cards with the Old Tappan Recreation Commission in order to use the park. Showing ID is one of several rules established for those who wish to use the park. Additionally, skateboarders need to sign a participant release of liability form. Parents must sign the form for under-aged skaters.
Skateboarders must adhere to the posted rules and regulations in order to use the park. The park will be open, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to dusk.
