Todd Stowe, a lifelong resident of
Park Ridge , was sworn in as the newest member of the Park Ridge Police Department at the Sept. 9 meeting of the mayor and council. He was sworn in by Mayor Donald Ruschman.
He began his coursework at the
Bergen
County
Police
Academy in Mahwah on Aug. 19. A 1993 graduate of
Park Ridge
High School , Officer Stowe, 33, was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, and has always had an interest in law enforcement.
Chief Joseph Madden said a new, more rigorous selection process was used to fill this position. “I am confident that Officer Stowe will prove to be a great asset to the department.”
In attendance at the ceremony were his mother, Marie-Louise, and his father Richard, his girlfriend, Paula, as well as several members of the Park Ridge Police Department.
