After years of delays, the United States Postal Service has begun construction of its new Main Office at 24 Park Ave., Park Ridge. Above left, the high school’s main building is pictured on the far right, and the mini-gym, center. The property, that borders the school’s practice football field to the south, was acquired several years ago but a USPS moratorium on new construction put the project on hold. Pictured above right, this artist’s rendering of the new facility is posted on the chain link fence surrounding the work site. According to the USPS, the new building should be completed in the spring.
